LG-GW620 – First Android mobile smartphone
LG’s first Android-powered smartphone LG-GW620 features a 3-inch full touchscreen and slide out QWERTY keypad to meet the growing needs of consumers who rely on their mobile phones for more than just making calls. The LG-GW620 benefits from an operating system that was created from the ground up to take advantage of the many mobile applications and services developed by search leader Google.

The Nokia 7705 Twist is a fun phone with a unique square shape that swivels open to reveal a full QWERTY keypad. The phone’s shortcut buttons provide quick access to messaging, the 3.0 megapixel camera, Web browsing, V CAST Music with Rhapsody, voice commands, and speakerphone options. The Contact Light Ring, located in the lower right corner, can be customized to identify a message or a call from those listed in the contact directory.

Five Million LG Cookie Phones sold Worldwide
LG announced that more than five million LG-KP500 Cookie mobile phones have been snapped up worldwide since its launch nine months ago. This gives Cookie the distinction of being the fastest selling device among LG’s range of full touch screen phones. To put this into perspective, 19,000 LG Cookies have been sold per day which equates to 791 units every hour or nine phones per minute. Five million LG Cookies placed side-by-side would cover an area of almost 29,500 square meters (35,281 square yards). Placed end-to-end, the line of Cookies would extend 535 kilometers (1,755,249 feet) which is over 60 times the height of Mt. Everest.

Pre-orders for the Samsung Jet high-end phone crosses two million units!
Pre-orders for the new phone Samsung Jet have already crossed 2 million units. Samsung Jet will hit showrooms in some 50 countries this month. This is the first time that a Samsung phone has exceeded the 2 million mark during the pre-order period. Some 1.8 million units of Samsung UltraTouch, released earlier this year, were ordered before its worldwide release. The Samsung Jet launched last week in London, Singapore and Dubai, offers high color resolution while consuming 40 percent less energy than existing mobile screens.
